I'm now officially a princess...

Guess what arrived in my mailbox on Friday afternoon?

and guess what happens when hubby takes my picture and doesn't ask me if I'm ready :-) (ha ha deer caught in the head lights!)

How exciting is that! This shirt is now being put away, and will not be seen again until I run my half marathon on May 30th...just need to get me a pink running skirt to match, I'm working on it :-)

Ok so in a few moments we are heading out, the boys are going on their bikes and I'm going for a run. We are going to get back and get changed, ready and then head to a birthday party. After the party we are going to do P90X.

This run marks run #3 for me this week and I couldn't be happier :-)

I've been really tickled by your love of this shirt. I have that exact same shirt. I fell in love with it last year when I did the inaugural Disney Princess race. I don't wear it often enough.

Hey girlie: did you get the "performance" version of that shirt? The only reason I ask is if you do any research on race tips etc. one of the things that will come up is to NOT wear anything NEW that you have not worn before. You just wouldn't want to risk wearing something that might chafe. I know it's very special and I love the idea of pulling it out just for the race but it would sure suck to get into kilometre fifteen and have a shoulder seam or something like that start rubbing you the wrong way.

Just a thought. I'm just so excited for your half, I want everything to be perfect!

So cute ... so Syl!

Is that shirt a tech shirt, or cotton?

Just a suggestion ... you might want to run in it before your race. I have certain items of clothing that are super comfortable to wear, even to do weights in ... but they don't always work when running. You just might want to do a test run, even on the treadmill, to make sure it's all good. Wouldn't want to be part way through the race and have it bugging you.

One of my favourite running tops I discovered is only good for about 10Km or about 15-18° C. After that I guess I get extra sweaty and it starts to chafe. Same with pants/shorts. If they start to slide part way through a run I go insane.
