Lets talk about changes when we lose weight shall we! I have said many times there is nothing better than losing the weight and being able to buy the cute stuff off the shelves at the stores. Being able to pick out anything you want and actually trying stuff on in the stores.
I remember a time where I would go into a store pick up something in a 16 or 18 and just bring it home, try it on and if I didn't like it return it. I couldn't stand trying stuff on in a store because of the simple reason that the person helping me would want to see me in it. No thanks, I would rather not!
Alot of that has changed, not only in the clothing department but in other avenues of my life, like eye wear!
I have been suffering from headaches the last couple of months and knew that something was off...I couldn't put my finger on it but thought maybe it was to do with my eye sight! last week I booked an eye appointment and sure enough my perscription was way off and not only that but I have a stigmatism. No wonder my head throbbed from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed. Long story short, I now have new contacts and new glasses!
Picking out glasses was such a great experience. Before when ever I bought them I would look for glasses that didn't make me look FAT, you know try and trim down that round face of mine. It's much easier going into this situation and be able to pick out something that makes you look trendy, or pretty or expressive. The person that was working with me was very helpful and had nothing but compliments, she said I should always wear glasses because they just add something fun to me, and for once I didn't feel like the person was trying to make a sale! I went ahead and got the ones that she thought looked best.
They are definately going to take some getting use to but here I am sporting my new eyes! It's amazing how much things change if you let them!

I remember shopping as a "fat" girl! Size 16 was my highest weight and I only had 1 pair of jeans and a bunch of large/x large shirts. I had no style, now I am so excited to go buy new clothes :)
I know just what you mean - glasses are wonderful! For me, I've hidden behind glasses for so long, simply because I wanted to distract people from my fat (and what I felt was ugly) face. I think I'm getting a little better about that, but I definitely love using glasses as a way to express my personality!

When my husband would go shopping with me I would sneak a size 10 hanger off of pants and clip it on a size 14. Hoping he would think I was wearing a size 10. And of course, like you, I never tried things on. Now I don't have to worry about that anymore. I LOVE shopping and trying things on in a real size 10 and size medium :)

Makes a huge difference when one has glasses that are right for your eyes. I think I need to go and have mine checked again...after my holiday.

I had glasses in college and decided one day I didn't need them anymore and threw them out...gee..I wonder why I have a headache at work all the time!

I love the glasses!! You look fabulous! I think wearing glasses make people look smarter. Not that you looked dumb...I just think that is what they do to someone. I don't need glasses, but I once wore a fake pair to a job interview and got the job!

It's funny how you change the way you see yourself (pun intended) when you transform your body and your thinking process! That is half the battle seeing yourself honestly and the way others see you. Catching your mind up to your body!

Glad to hear you found an easy fix to your headaches. The glasses are pretty stylish! I HATE wearing glasses. I have a pair but I wear them maybe twice a year when I want to watch TV in bed after I've taken out my contacts.
I love the new glasses! You look great, they are fun! I've had the same ones for a few years, but I just love them... before that I'd NEVER leave the house not in contacts. Now it just depends on the day (running days or going out days - contacts, other days, glasses).
...and yeah - it's REALLY nice to go shopping now that it's not WILL the clothes in this store fit, but what size will fit me (6, 8, 10?).
